Clean windows deserve clean screens
Window screens collect more than most people realize. Pollen, dust, insects, cobwebs and outdoor grime gradually build up in the mesh, dulling your view and restricting the fresh air coming into your home.
That buildup can also make freshly cleaned glass look less impressive. If the glass is spotless but the screen in front of it is dirty, the job still looks unfinished.
That’s why we remove each screen and clean it separately rather than simply wiping it down while it’s still in the window.
Each screen is washed on both sides, rinsed, dried and carefully returned to its original window.

How we do it
Remove & keep organized
We carefully remove each screen and keep track of where it belongs. Screens can vary from window to window, so everything stays organized for proper reinstallation.
Wash both sides
Each screen is thoroughly washed on both sides to remove pollen, dust, dirt and other buildup trapped in the mesh.
Detail the frame
We clean around the screen frame and corners where cobwebs, grit and debris tend to collect, the areas a quick rinse or wipe often misses.
Dry & reinstall
Once cleaned, screens are allowed to dry before being carefully returned to their original windows and properly seated.

The Inside Face Is the Dirty One
Nobody can reach the inner face of a screen without removing it, so on most houses it has never been cleaned. That is where the majority of the light loss is coming from.
Screens Are Not Interchangeable
Even in a house with identical-looking windows, screens are cut to their specific opening. Mixing them up produces gaps at the edges and screens that will not sit flush. Ours are labeled for that reason.
Cleaning Reveals Damage
Once years of dirt and buildup are removed, existing wear can become easier to see. Including tears, loose spline, bent frames, or damaged mesh.

Screens off means we can reach the full pane and the sill properly, which is the other reason the two jobs belong in the same visit.
